Kimi Antonelli led the second free practice of the Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1 at Madring. In the session held this Friday (11), the Mercedes driver continues his good form and recorded a time of 1min33s662 to top the table.

Who took second place in the second activity at the debut circuit in Madrid was Charles Leclerc, 0.113 seconds behind the Italian championship leader. Lewis Hamilton, Arvid Lindblad, who caused a red flag, and George Russell completed the top 5.
Gabriel Bortoleto had a quieter session and finished with the 13th fastest time on soft tires.

For this second session of the day, the heat remained quite strong at Madring. The thermometer reached 30ºC and the asphalt hit 53ºC, with the sun shining, little wind, and humidity around 12%.
Timer started and drivers released for another 1 hour of reconnaissance of the debut Formula 1 track in 2026. The first drivers to leave the pits were Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman, George Russell.
After five minutes on the clock, Charles Leclerc was in first position with 1min35s557, with Lewis Hamilton and Arvid Lindblad completing the top three. Meanwhile, Sergio Pérez had his fast lap deleted for track limits.
In these initial minutes, after a warm-up lap without setting a time, Lando Norris returned to the McLaren garage saying he had a problem with the gearbox and gear shifting.
With just over ten minutes of practice elapsed, Gabriel Bortoleto made a brief pit stop at the Audi garage. The Brazilian said on the radio that he was almost hitting all the corners and went to adjust the front wing.
At this moment, the order was Kim Antonelli in first with 1min34s428, followed by Leclerc just 0.001 seconds behind the leader. Russell, Lewis Hamilton, and Lindblad completed the top five positions.

The seven-time Ferrari champion was on a fast lap when he made a mistake at the tunnel entrance, aborting the attempt. He then complained on the radio that he was struggling a lot with the front of the SF-26.
Another driver who suffered with his lap time deleted was Max Verstappen, who went off at turn 17.
The session was almost halfway through and most drivers were stationary. Antonelli remained in first, with Russell, Leclerc, Hamilton, Lindblad, Liam Lawson, Oscar Piastri, Verstappen, Yuki Tsunoda, and Ocon completing the top 10. Bortoleto was 12th.
In this second half of the session, drivers were now on soft tire laps and times were dropping. Then, the first accident of the Formula 1 weekend: Lindblad crashed and caused a red flag.
After about ten minutes, the session resumed at Madring, with 13 minutes remaining to the checkered flag. Moments before the pit lane opened, drivers were already lined up at the pit exit.
With seven minutes left in the day in Spain, McLaren confirmed that Lando was out of the session, the only driver not to have set a fast lap in the session.
At the top of the table, between first, Antonelli, and seventh, Piastri, all were within the same second, separated by 0.538 seconds. However, by eighth, Tsunoda, the Japanese driver was more than 1 second behind.
In the final minutes of the second F1 practice in Spain, Piastri made a mistake and went straight at the corner. The Australian avoided any collision and quickly returned to the track.
Checkered flag and Antonelli finished as the fastest of the day at Madring. Leclerc and Hamilton complete the top 3 in Spain.
