Formula 1 recorded two pit lane infringements during FP3 of the Monaco GP. Alpine and Williams were fined by the stewards after Franco Colapinto and Alexander Albon exceeded the permitted speed limit in the pit area.

The penalties were only financial and do not affect the drivers’ performance for the rest of the weekend. Nevertheless, the incidents resulted in official notifications from the FIA just hours before the qualifying session in Monte Carlo.
The most significant case involved Colapinto. The Alpine driver was recorded at 68.9 km/h in the pit lane, exceeding the 60 km/h limit established for the Monaco GP by 8.9 km/h. As a consequence, the French team received a fine of 900 euros.

Williams’ infringement, however, was much smaller. Albon passed the FIA radars at 60.2 km/h, just 0.2 km/h above the maximum speed allowed for the weekend.
Despite the minimal difference, the regulations provide for punishment for any recorded excess. Therefore, Williams was also penalized, receiving a fine of 100 euros from the stewards. Both teams continue normally with the Monaco GP schedule, without any sporting impact resulting from the infringements recorded during the last free practice session.
