Fernando Alonso saw a small improvement from Aston Martin in terms of reliability in Miami in Formula 1. However, the two-time world champion pointed out that the team is still quite far behind in terms of performance.

In the Sprint qualifying for this weekend’s round, the British team ended up at the back of the pack. The Spaniard lines up in 21st place, while Lance Stroll will start only 22nd.
Making an assessment of the AMR26, Alonso acknowledged that the vibrations were indeed a point that improved, but still sees the team far behind rivals in Formula 1 2026.
“Yes, the vibrations have improved. I think some adjustments were made since Japan in the first three races. So there are fewer vibrations in the engine, but unfortunately, we have not improved performance,” he said.

“We probably continue to be a bit further behind the others. They have improved their cars since Japan and we have only improved reliability, so probably in performance we are a bit further behind,” he continued.
“But we accept that and our program for this year is a bit different from the others, so now we have to stay calm,” he concluded.
