Stefano Domenicali celebrated and expressed relief over Max Verstappen’s contract renewal with Red Bull until the 2030 Formula 1 season.

Before the start of the Dutch GP weekend, the Austrian team and the driver announced the extension of the Dutchman’s current deal for a few more years. This ended rumors of a possible departure of the four-time world champion to another team or even from the category.
“The news that Max will remain at Red Bull for the coming years is the cherry on top for this weekend [in Zandvoort],” Domenicali told the official F1 website.

“It’s great news; I feel very proud and happy, as Max is a world champion, a world-class person, and a great personality in the sport, and I can’t imagine Formula 1 without him,” he continued.
“I’m really very happy that this news is now official and that all the speculation that had been arising until now makes no sense. And now I’m sure the team’s focus is to perform as best as possible to give Max the best car they can.”
