The José Carlos Pace Autodrome was the stage, this weekend, for the opening of the 2026 Porsche Cup Brazil season. And amidst intense disputes, safety cars, and controversial decisions, Rafa Brocchi started the year with good results.

Debuting in the Carrera Cup Rookie class, Brocchi showed consistency right in his first challenge on the grid. In race 1, held on Saturday, the driver crossed the finish line in fourth place among the Rookies, a result that immediately placed him as one of the highlights of the podium.
On Sunday, in race 2, Rafa returned to the track for 16 more intense laps at Interlagos. In a race marked by many battles in the midfield, he received the checkered flag in fifth position in the Rookie class, ending the weekend with two solid results and important points in the standings, achieving a fourth and a fifth place, respectively.
With a large and experienced grid, completing both races and appearing among the Rookie front-runners right in the first round is a good indicator for the championship. The adaptation to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the Boost management, and the consistent pace throughout the races were positive points of the driver’s weekend.

“It was a very special weekend for me. Debuting in the Porsche Cup at Interlagos is already something remarkable, and leaving here with two consistent results in the Rookie class makes me very satisfied. I learned a lot with every lap, especially about the car’s behavior in competition and the use of Boost in battles. Of course, we always want more, but scoring points right in the first stage is fundamental for the championship. Now it’s time to work hard, analyze everything with the team, and arrive even more competitive at Velocitta.”
The 2026 season is just beginning. The next round takes place at Velocitta on March 28 and 29.
