Interlagos returned to the Porsche Cup calendar after races in Europe and already showed its personality on the first day of activity of the seventh stage of the championship. The cars trained on a dry track and the drivers and engineers were as attentive to the telemetry as to the weather forecast for the weekend, as rain and cold may come.

For Mobil™ driver Antonella Bassani, who is having her best season in the Carrera Cup with third place in the championship two stages from the end, the important thing was that they found the best setup for Porsche #72 on Friday.
The initial development path did not pay off in the first optional practices and the 100% female team sponsored by Mobil™ made a radical change in the final practice, in order to find a suitable balance for Antonella to show her talent.
She then went to the track with very worn tires and recorded her best lap in 1:38.625.
This Saturday the schedule will open with qualifying for race 1. Then the Challenge class qualifying takes place and next the Carrera returns to the São Paulo asphalt for the qualifying of Sunday’s race.

It is worth remembering that in the last two sprint stages of the calendar there is no grid inversion for race 2, with both races awarding the winner 28 points.
The races of the seventh stage are broadcast by Band, Bandsports and the official digital platforms of the Porsche Cup.

“We finished the first and only free practice day here in Interlagos and it was a very complicated day in terms of results. We have been evolving the setup and found it in the last of the three practices of the day after starting in the opposite direction. The setup was okay and there is still the tire issue because we do not know the condition of the tires the competition was using. But we have a very nice race pace and I am sure tomorrow will be even better. The forecast is for rain for the weekend, so we will wait, because in Interlagos you never know since it is always a huge unknown”
