Paulo Sousa and Dylan Pereira started the first stage of the Porsche Cup Endurance championship on the right foot. In the first free practice sessions held this Saturday (11) in Portugal, the duo was the fastest in both sessions.

The Porsche #25 duo already started the weekend in the best way in the Algarve. In the first optional practices on the Portuguese track, they set the best times to close the day in first place on the leaderboard.

Then, in the first official activity at the Portimão region circuit, Sousa/Pereira recorded a lap of 1min46s372 to top the rivals. Also racing in the Rookie class, the teammates completed 13 total laps during the 35-minute practice in Portugal.

Following them, Eric Santos/Gabriel Robe finished second, 0.304 seconds behind the leaders, with Leonardo Herrmann and Cesar Ramos in third overall and first in the Sport class. Meanwhile, Marçal Müller and Gaetano di Mauro were the top Carrera overall, finishing with the fifth-best total time.

In this TL1 in the Algarve, seven cars were within the same second – the duo in seventh place was José Moura Neto/Matheus Iorio.

In the second session of the day, once again Sousa/Pereira led everything. Compared to the first session, completing 13 more laps during the practice, the duo managed to lower the lap time even further and set 1min46s216 to go confidently into the qualifying later.

Matheus Comparatto/Felipe Baptista, second on the leaderboard, was 0.155 seconds behind. Josimar Junior/Sergio Ramalho completed the top 3 – in this session, 12 cars were within the same second.
