F3: Pedro Clerot starts on the second row of the Sprint race in Monaco

Driver Pedro Clerot, making his debut season in Formula 3, faced a challenging qualifying session for the second round of the championship, held on the street circuit of Monte Carlo, Monaco. In a session divided into groups this Friday (5), the Brazilian from Rodin Motorsport placed in the top-5 of his group and will start from fourth position in the Sprint race, and ninth in the main race.

The first champion in the history of F4 Brazil went to the track in the last of the two groups of drivers in qualifying, recording a time of 1min25s129 on his best lap. Clerot highlighted the good result in the session that defined the starting positions even without being able to complete the last fast lap in the session due to traffic on the track.

“For the Sprint race, we will start from fourth position and we have conditions to score in both races this weekend. We are going for that. In qualifying, we couldn’t do the last lap, which could have put us even further ahead on the grid for the main race, due to traffic. Even so, we had a good result,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

The 2026 Formula 3 season has, so far, only had one round, held in Australia, where Clerot achieved an eighth place in the main race. The result places him eighth in the championship with four points. After almost three months without races, the Brazilian seeks to score points to advance in the standings.

The first race of the Formula 3 weekend in Monaco will be the Sprint, scheduled to start at 5:45 AM this Saturday (6). The main race is scheduled to start at 2:55 AM on Sunday. F1TV will show the double-header live.
