It's Race Week! Monaco GP marks the sixth round of F1 2026

Formula 1 returns this weekend for the Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2026 season. Considered one of the most traditional and emblematic races in world motorsport, the event will take place from June 5 to 7 on the narrow streets of the Principality of Monaco.

After the previous round in Canada, the championship reaches one of the most anticipated moments of the calendar. Monaco represents a unique challenge for drivers and teams, with a layout that practically offers no escape areas and demands absolute precision throughout the weekend. Any mistake is usually severely punished by the guardrails surrounding the track.

The 2026 season continues to be marked by teams adapting to the new technical regulations. With only five rounds contested so far, the championship battle is still taking shape, while teams continue developing their cars in search of performance and consistency.

The Monaco Circuit is the slowest on the Formula 1 calendar, but also one of the most challenging. Iconic corners such as Sainte Dévote, Casino, Mirabeau, Loews Hairpin, Tunnel, and the Port chicane are part of a layout that has remained virtually unchanged in its essence for decades. Qualifying usually holds even greater importance in the Principality, as overtaking has historically been difficult during the race.
