Four-time Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost was the victim of a robbery at his home in Nyon, Switzerland, and suffered a minor head injury during the criminal act, according to information released by the Swiss press and the Vaud police.

The crime occurred on the morning of Tuesday, May 19, when masked individuals broke into the family residence while the occupants were present. According to the police, the robbers threatened the family members and forced one of Prost’s children to open a safe in the house.
According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, other family members were also threatened during the robbery. There is no official confirmation yet about what was taken from the property, although the publication highlights the former French driver’s connection with luxury watch manufacturers.

In a statement, the police reported that the suspects fled after the crime and remain at large, despite the search operation carried out by the authorities. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened a criminal investigation to investigate the case and identify those responsible.
