Formula 2 holds the third round of the 2026 season this weekend at another unprecedented venue in its history: the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, in the Canadian city of Montreal. The double round is another that was not initially planned, but takes place after the cancellation of the stops in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and promises more excitement in the championship.

The standings show a tight battle for the lead after two rounds and four races. Nikola Tsolov, who won races in Australia and Miami, leads the championship with 35 points, one more than Gabriele Mini and Rafael Câmara, both with 34. The top 5 also includes Laurens van Hoepen, with 26, and Ritomo Miyata, with 22.
The schedule will start on Friday (22), when the only free practice of the weekend and the qualifying session that will define the grid for the two races take place. Saturday will have the Sprint, starting at 3:10 PM with the grid reversed among the top ten from qualifying. Sunday features the main race at 1:05 PM. Sportv3, Globoplay, and F1TV will broadcast the entire schedule live.
