The W2 Pro GP confirmed this Monday (2), the Brazilian Erick Schotten for the 2026 TCR South America season. He will drive a latest-generation Cupra León VZ and will make his international debut in touring cars. In the opening round, he will have Celso Neto as a teammate, while the third driver is yet to be announced.

Erick’s return to the international scene happens after the transition to touring cars in Brazil. In 2024, the driver competed in the Stock Series, achieving two victories, two podiums in the overall standings, and four among the rookies. Last year, he was part of Stock Light.
Before that, he built experience abroad. In 2023, he competed in the USF Juniors – USF Pro Championship and finished in fourth place in the overall standings, after conducting a test in the USF Pro Championship at the end of 2022.

His career began in karting, in Rio do Sul (SC). He was champion of the Copa Rio do Sul in 2017, with three victories, and won the Karting Junior SPR title in 2020, a season in which he also joined the youngest team to compete in the 500 Milhas de Kart. In 2022, already in Formula Delta, he became champion with a record of nine victories.
TCR South America begins its season this weekend, between March 6 and 8, in Curvelo (MG).
