McLaren announced its foray into the world of golf with the launch of McLaren Golf, a new division of the company that aims to set a new standard for golf equipment, aligning with the high engineering standards the brand has developed in motorsport, particularly in Formula 1, and in the construction of supercars.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren, stated that the decision to expand into the golf sector is a ‘natural step’, given the company’s expertise in high-performance engineering. Neil Howie, CEO of McLaren Golf, explained that the initiative goes beyond creating equipment, being a brand that incorporates McLaren’s high-performance DNA into the world of golf.

McLaren Golf will be formed by a team of golf industry specialists, alongside brilliant engineering minds, with the goal of innovating and redefining golfers’ expectations regarding their equipment. The brand already has a set date for the launch of its products: April 29, 2026.

Brown, also a golf enthusiast and CEO of McLaren Racing, commented: “Taking our benchmark engineering standards from the track to the golf course, we feel this is a natural step, as well as an opportunity to open the McLaren brand to a new audience,” the CEO concluded.
