The result shows a small evolution compared to previous stages, something important in the fight for the midfield pack. Still, details prevented a stronger performance and the team is already seeking immediate adjustments.
The team principal, James Vowles, evaluated the day as positive but incomplete: “After five weeks of work, it’s good to see small improvements compared to competitors, with both cars in SQ2, but it was not a perfect day,” he said. He highlighted that there was still potential to be explored and guaranteed a reaction for the rest of the weekend.

Carlos Sainz finished 15th and pointed out specific problems that affected his performance: “We took a step in the right direction, but we had issues with power delivery that cost me important tenths in the fight for SQ3,” he said. Despite the frustration, the Spaniard showed confidence in recovering this performance both in the Sprint race and in the qualifying session for the GP.
Alex Albon, 14th placed, also saw improvement in the car, highlighting changes tested since TL1: “It has been a more positive weekend so far and the car was in better condition, which shows that the updates are working,” he added.
