Gerson Campos was the first to see the checkered flag on Sunday in Interlagos, ahead of the #21 Porsche of Daniel Neumann.
The battle between them at turn 1 was placed under investigation and the sporting authorities considered that Campos “dives and touches car #21, causing it to lose position”. “Therefore”, the CBA statement continues, “they decide to penalize driver Gerson Campos with a 5s addition to his final race time”.

As a consequence of the penalty, the race victory goes to Neumann and the driver of car #82 is reclassified in second place. The CBA also informed that Gerson Campos expressed his intention to appeal the penalty in the Sports Court.
In this way, the Challenge championship is tied between Campos and Neumann, each with one victory and one second place in the inaugural round of 2026.
