One of the names of the new generation of Brazilian motorsport competing abroad, Matheus Ferreira begins his second season in the German Porsche Cup this weekend, which opens the championship at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari International Circuit in Imola, Italy. For this year, the only representative of the country on the grid will defend the Team GP Elite team, the same one he will compete for in the Porsche Supercup this year.

In the German tournament, Matheus will compete in the Pro Cup category, the main one of the championship. In 2025, when he raced among the Rookies, the Brazilian won the first of the two races on the 4,909-meter circuit located near Bologna. With a busy schedule this year, the driver aims to achieve good results to fight for the title at the end of the year.
“I am happy to compete in two championships, the German Porsche Cup and the Supercup, which is a preliminary to Formula 1. I will race on some of the coolest tracks in the world, including Imola, where we have the first stage of the German championship this year. My goal is to be the German champion and the best rookie in the Supercup,” said Matheus Ferreira.

Throughout the German Porsche Cup season, Matheus will have eight stages, passing through some of the main circuits in Europe. These include Spa, Red Bull Ring, Zandvoort, and Hockenheim, the latter being the home of the final stage of the championship on October 11.
The German Porsche Cup schedule in Imola will begin on Friday with a free practice session. Saturday will feature qualifying and the first race at 12:40 PM. Sunday has the race that closes the initial stage of the championship, starting at 4:50 AM. The races are shown on YouTube.
