Daniel Neumann will start at the front in race 1 of the Porsche Cup Sprint Challenge at Interlagos. This qualifying Saturday (28), he recorded a time of 1min38s418 to take pole position on the grid.

Sharing the front row with the competitor is Gerson Campos, who set a lap 0s269 slower than the leader. Sadak Leite and Will Cesar complete the second row for this afternoon’s start at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace.

After the Carrera Cup cars left the track, the qualifying session for the Challenge began shortly after. With the clock counting down, the first names were quick to leave the pits.
With the first timed laps completed at Interlagos, Claudio Simão was in first position with 1min41s303, but with potential to lower it significantly. Bentivoglio followed just 0s077 behind the leader.
Until the checkered flag, nothing changed on the timesheet, with Simão finishing fastest in this first phase of the Sprint Challenge, already very close to taking pole position in the Rookie class.
Following the qualifying session, it was the turn of the Sport and overall class competitors to take to the track for their attempts to get into the top 10.

As the clock ticked down, Daniel Neumann jumped into first place with a 1min38s329, with Sadak Leite, Gerson Campos, Caio Castro and Will Cesar rounding out the top five – the top 5 were separated by more than 1s.
The clock started and the final part of qualifying began to determine the pole sitter. The ten names in contention were Daniel Neumann, Gerson Campos, Sadak Leite, Caio Castro, Nicholas Garfinkel, Will Cesar, Cecília Rabelo, Marco Mascari, Neto Heil and Gabriel Guper.
The time to beat for pole position was 1min38s418, with Campos in second place, 0s269 behind the leader. Sadak followed, but already outside the same second as the provisional pole sitter.
Checkered flag and the first pole position of the year for the Challenge went to Neumann. The driver of the #21 Porsche will share the front row with Campos, while Leite, Cesar, Castro, Garfinkel, Rabelo, Mascari, Guper and Heil complete the top 10.
Garfinkel, in fact, starts from pole in the Sport class, while Simão is first in the Rookie class.
