Find out how race 1 of the Porsche Cup at Velocitta went:

Just like the qualifying earlier, once again the sun shone in a blue sky and the heat prevailed in Mogi Guaçu. On the thermometer, it was already 32ºC, while the asphalt was already over 40]C.

Start authorized at Velocitta and Müller managed to keep the lead of the pack without major problems, with Salles following the leader closely. Someone who appears to have started well was Miguel Paludo, who jumped from 11º to seventh place.

Meanwhile, someone who was coming with possible problems was Antonella Bassani. In fourth place, the competitor in Porsche #72 was holding back the pack behind her, also opening a gap from the trio ahead.

And right in the first minutes, a safety car had to be deployed. The reason was a problem involving Rouman and Carlos Campos, with both stopping in the runoff area and needing assistance to remove their cars. Further back, Miguel Mariotti also spun and Chico Horta also stopped along the way.

Race restarted with just over 15 minutes to the checkered flag. The top three remained in the same positions, while Antonella needed to drive defensively against Matheus Comparatto, while Thiago Vivacqua tried to get into the top-5 of the race.

It turns out that a few moments later, a new safety-car was necessary in Mogi Guaçu. This time it was due to a heavy accident involving José Moura Neto, who started from pole-position in the Rookie class, but went straight at the Mata corner and hit the tire barrier hard – further back, Alceu Feldmann was also hit in the rear.

The order on the track at this moment had Müller in first place, with Salles, Feldmann Neto, Bassani and Vivacqua completing the top five positions. Israel Salmen leads in Sport and Marco Billi was first in Rookie.

Green flag for the final laps of the last minutes of race 1 of the Porsche Cup at Velocitta. Muller and Salles managed to stay in the top two positions of the pack.

The very exciting fight that was happening was for fifth place. Vivacqua was fifth, but had to start dealing with the pressure and approach of Paludo, who managed to overtake, but soon faced a counter-move and was pushed back to sixth.

Near the end of the race, then, Paulo Sousa and Luiz Souza ended up tangling, touching and spinning, seeing the end of their races.

Checkered flag and Marçal secured another victory in the Porsche Cup. Salles finishes second, with Feldmann Neto, Bassani and Paludo closing the podium.
