After debuting in the Porsche Cup C6 Bank in 2008 and racing for 15 seasons since then, it is extremely rare for multi-champion Miguel Paludo to experience an unprecedented day in the category.

Owner of ten titles in the Carrera Cup, record holder in wins (40) and poles (19), the driver of Porsche #7 completes 180 races at the event this weekend at Velocitta.
But the weekend is already marked by an experience lived outside the cockpit that made him famous. Paludo and his wife Patricia saw their son Oliver, 14 years old, accelerate a competition Porsche for the first time.
Oliver has attended the event since early childhood and is very beloved within the paddock. As a child, he became known for circulating among the public with a speedy scooter.
But nothing compares to the laps completed at Velocitta.
After starting in karting in the United States and also with hours of action in virtual motorsports, Oliver started in cars this year. He raced regional formula events and now had initial contact with the competition Porsche.
It should be noted that this is not an isolated case in the history of more than 20 years of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank. Many second-generation drivers from the same family have already competed in the event, even repeating titles of their older relatives.
This is the case, for example, of Ricardo and Rodrigo Baptista. Record holder in number of starts in the Porsche Cup C6 Bank (with 221) and tied with Paludo at the top of the table for the most poles achieved, Ricardo is a two-time champion of the event (2007 and 2012). Rodrigo is his nephew and won the Carrera title in 2017, before moving on to a successful international career including a vice-championship in his class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Impossible to address the second generations of success on track with the Porsche 911 Cup without mentioning Pipo Massa in 2026. The son of Felipe Massa makes his racing debut at 16 years old and arrived at Velocitta credited with 100% performance at Interlagos at the opening of the calendar. Since then, he has also been in Barcelona for another race with the Porsche 911 Cup of the 992 generation, an occasion in which he also won in his category.
In addition to Oliver Paludo’s special test, the track had optional training activities on Thursday for the Carrera and Challenge. On Friday all three categories run at the stage, for a record of 78 drivers registered at Velocitta.
The track will open on Saturday with the qualifying sessions for the Carrera and Challenge. Then the first two races take place and the schedule ends with the Trophy qualifying. The access division opens Sunday’s schedule with its race and, in the afternoon, the inverted grid races for the Carrera and Challenge take place.
The races are broadcast live on Band and Bandsports channels, as well as on the official digital platforms of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank.
