Aston Martin finished another race without managing to score points in the Formula 1 season. In the Chinese GP, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso were unable to cross the finish line.

The British team has endured a complicated start to the championship in 2026. With vibration problems in the car, the competitors are unable to continue until the end of the race, in addition to facing reliability issues with the AMR26.
In fact, the vibrations were the reason the Spanish double champion did not continue until the checkered flag. “I had a lot of fun at the start again and it seems that this is a strong point of our car, as we moved up to 10th position,” he said.
“However, around lap 20, I started having problems with vibration levels and we were already a lap down, so in the end, we decided to retire from the race. The vibrations seemed worse today than on any other day of the weekend, so we need to investigate why. It is clear that we need more time to fix everything, but we will be back in two weeks in Japan,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the Canadian had problems during the race and stopped in the middle of the track, causing the first safety car intervention of the race. “The car simply shut down at the entry of turn 1. We need to investigate, but we suspect it was a battery-related issue,” he explained.
“Overall, we did more laps this weekend, collected more data and learned more about the car and the engine, so that is a positive point to take from China. We have a lot of work ahead of us in all areas and we need to seek improvements. It is not an easy time for the team, but we are all working together and there is a lot of potential to be explored,” he concluded.
