Isack Hadjar finished the Formula 1 Chinese GP in eighth place, scoring his first points of the 2026 season and highlighting both the positive moments and the difficulties faced throughout the race in Shanghai.

“It’s a shame not to have been able to score more points today. I had a good start and a decent initial pace in the first laps. I enjoyed the battle with Ollie (Haas’s Oliver Bearman), it was good to compete, but then the rear stepped out very quickly and I lost the car,” Hadjar stated.
Despite the incident, the driver managed to recover: “I had to go through the field, but I made some good overtakes and managed to get into the points zone. We had a bit of luck with some cars ahead, but it’s still good to score my first points with the team.”

Hadjar also highlighted Red Bull Racing’s work and the continuous learning with the car: “At the moment, we are lacking pure performance in the car to be competitive with the front teams, but we are understanding how to improve the car and its balance every weekend,” he concluded.
This result reinforces Hadjar’s growth in the season and the prospect that the team will continue to adjust the car to seek more competitiveness in the next races.
