Asked by Automoto Italy about a possible transfer to Ferrari, Antonelli explained that he is satisfied with his current situation: “Right now I am good where I am. I am very happy at Mercedes, also because I feel I owe them for all the opportunities they have given me,” he said.

The Italian recalled that Mercedes bet on him when he was only twelve years old and participated in his development throughout his career: “They were the ones who believed in me when I was just twelve years old. They accompanied me on this path of growth, and I hope to reap many successes with them in the future,” he said.

The relationship with the German team grew even stronger after Antonelli’s victory at the recent Italian GP. He started from 19th position and won in Monza, becoming the first Italian to triumph in his home race since Ludovico Scarfiotti in 1966.
