NASCAR Brasil speeds up this weekend on the oval track of the Circuito dos Cristais, in Curvelo (MG), where Cacá Bueno finished second last season. The Team RC driver highlights that the track’s characteristics make overtaking difficult, even though it is an oval circuit and the category’s car provides a lot of slipstream.

“We finished second last year in Curvelo, which was our first weekend driving on the oval and getting to know the track, so the expectation for this second time is positive. Driving on the oval is always fun, but it is not a simple oval. It has some particular characteristics with a slight banking and does not have a double line to use, so this makes overtaking quite difficult since only the outside part has banking,” explains Cacá, who is sponsored by Betnacional, Capital Concreto, PicPay, ACDelco, SpeedMax Pneus, Pneu Store, Milwaukee, Turbi, and Chevrolet.
Five-time Stock Car champion, Cacá is sixth in the NASCAR Brasil points standings with 94 points and is trying to climb the rankings. The Minas Gerais stage marks the last round of the regular season before the category’s Playoffs phase.

NASCAR Brasil activities in Curvelo will start this Friday with free practice 1 at 3:45 PM. The second session is scheduled for 10:10 AM on Saturday and on the same day qualifying takes place at 3:15 PM. Race 1 is held at 9 AM and race 2 is scheduled for 2:10 PM. SBT, ESPN, Disney+, and YouTube will broadcast the event.
