The TCR South America qualifying this Saturday (12) in Concordia, Argentina ended with Leonel Pernía on pole position for the seventh round of the 2026 season. The Argentine confirmed the good pace shown since the start of the session and secured first place by setting a 1min42s014 in Q2, beating Camilo Trappa by 0.282 seconds.

Q1
The qualifying started with mild weather in Concordia. Initially, the drivers used the time to warm up tires and test the track limits. After ten minutes, Leonel Pernía was leading the pack with 1min42s687. Camilo Trappa was second, 0.298 seconds behind.
Gradually, the drivers improved to try to avoid elimination. The young Brazilian Gabryel Romano stood out by moving up to fourth place with 1min43s550.
Q1 ended with the following eliminated: Fabricio Pezzini, Juan Manuel Casella, Enzo Gianfratti, Bruno Massa, Enrique Maglione, Nicolas Ambiado, Sebastian Quirino, and Adrian Chiriano.
Q2
The drivers went out for Q2 and sought their best laps from the first minutes. Nelson Piquet Jr. was one of the first to set a lap, with 1min42s912. But he was soon surpassed, with Girolami taking the lead and shortly after Camilo Trappa setting 1min42s296 to take the lead. Leonel Pernía was right behind with 1min42s673.

In the final stretch, Pernía managed to improve and lap in 1min42s014, securing pole position for the round.
Trappa finished second with 1min42s296, while Tiago Pernía took third place with 1min42s589. Juan Ángel Rosso was fourth with 1min42s658, just 0.069 seconds behind Tiago. Joaquín Cafaro completed fifth place with 1min42s663.
Néstor Girolami was sixth, recording 1min42s708, while Nelson Piquet Jr. finished qualifying in seventh place with 1min42s912. Fabian Yannantuoni appeared eighth with 1min43s074, followed by Gabryel Romano, who set 1min43s416.
Raphael Reis closed the top 10 with 1min43s559. Gabriel Moura was 11th with 1min43s732, while Nicolas Fuca completed the top 12 with 1min43s785.
