Therefore, Liam Lawson remains as Max Verstappen’s teammate for racing in Madrid, while Yuki Tsunoda continues alongside Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls.
During the summer break, the Frenchman fractured his wrist during a training session punching a boxing bag. Initially, he was only going to miss the Dutch GP in Zandvoort, in the same week as the injury.

However, the wrist did not recover enough and Isack also could not race at the Italian GP last weekend. Now, he is also out to compete in the Madrid round.
“After competing for the team in Zandvoort and Monza, Liam will continue driving alongside Max at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid this week. The decision was made as Isack’s recovery continues to progress positively. Although he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit, he will be in Madrid supporting the team. Everyone at Red Bull Racing eagerly awaits Isack’s return to the wheel soon,” Red Bull said in a statement.
