F2: Rafael Câmara takes pole position for the Italy stage race

Rafael Câmara secured pole position this Friday (4) for the tenth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season. In the qualifying session held this morning at the Monza National Circuit in Italy, the Invicta Racing driver recorded his best lap time of 1min31s326, earning the top spot for the fifth time this year.

Invicta also saw Joshua Durksen take second position on the grid for Sunday, after being beaten by Câmara by 0.057 seconds. Alexander Dunne, who led the free practice session earlier this morning, will start third with Rodin Motorsport, sharing the second row with Noel León, fourth with Campos Racing. Martinius Stenshorne, from Rodin, completes the top 5.

Championship leader Nikola Tsolov will start from sixth position on the grid for the main race with a Campos Racing car. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, from ART Grand Prix, took seventh place, while Ritomo Miyata, from Hitech, starts eighth. Oliver Goethe, from MP Motorsport, was ninth, with John Bennett, from Trident, in tenth, starting from pole in the Sprint. Emmo Fittipaldi starts 19th with AIX Racing.

With the qualifying result this Friday, Câmara equals the points of Gabriele Mini, championship runner-up and only 11th on the grid for both races with MP Motorsport. The gap between Tsolov and the Invicta driver in the championship drops to 20 points with this pole.

F2 will have the Sprint race this Saturday (5), starting at 9:15 AM, while the main race will be held this Sunday, starting at 4:45 AM.
