Mobil driver Antonella Bassani returns to racing in the Porsche Cup this weekend, with the category holding its second race at Interlagos. The good results achieved in Europe are still in the rearview mirror, even after almost two months of the category on hiatus.

Antonella secured two podiums in the Sprint races of the Porsche Carrera Cup held in Algarve, Portugal. The results had an extra special meaning, as they were achieved when the driver reached the milestone of 50 races sponsored by Mobil.
Now, the 2023 Challenge champion returns to the stage where she became the first woman to win a title in the category, at the historic Interlagos circuit. The driver from Santa Catarina is in third position in the 2026 championship and continues dreaming of the title, this time in the main class of the Porsche Cup.
For the final part of this season, the Porsche Cup holds two qualifying sessions for the starting grid, eliminating the reversed grid. Thus, both races will award the same points.

The Porsche Cup weekend includes two optional practice sessions and one free practice on Friday, two qualifying sessions and the first race on Saturday, and concludes with the second race on Sunday. All activities will be broadcast on the category’s official YouTube channel, while the races will also be broadcast by Band and BandSports.

“We managed to do recovery stages and everything went well. We spent the whole season trying to reduce the damage from 12th place in the first stage and we did that in Europe. We had P2 in Le Mans, two podiums in Algarve. If you count Velocitta, we also did very well. We will continue working to try to fight for the title, even though we are a bit far from the leader. We remain focused here in Interlagos, aiming to score points and, now yes, aiming for the title. I like the changes in qualifying, it makes the championship fight more intense.”
