The TCR South America crosses the border between Brazil and Argentina to compete on August 22 and 23 in the sixth round of the 2026 season. The championship arrives at the Autódromo Oscar Cabalén, in Villa Parque Santa Ana, Córdoba, to start the second half of the calendar after the first part was entirely contested on Brazilian soil.

After two years off the calendar, the traditional Argentine circuit returns to host the category. The layout combines high-speed sections with corners that require precision and presents drivers and teams with an important challenge in a decisive phase of the championship.
Leonel Pernía arrives at the round as the leader of the South American championship, with 265 points. The Argentine also won the TCR Brazil title in the last round at Velocitta. Raphael Reis is second, with 227 points, followed by Pedro Cardoso, with 194. Néstor Girolami is fourth, with 174, just one point ahead of Camilo Trappa, who has 173.
Honda Racing leads among the teams and has as its main representatives Leonel Pernía, Tiago Pernía, and Nelson Piquet Jr. W2 Pro GP, of Raphael Reis and Erick Schotten, occupies second place, although Schotten is absent this round. G Racing Motorsport, Hyundai MSA, and Paladini Racing complete the top five positions.

In the Trophy Cup, Adrián Chiriano leads with 123 points, while Enrique Maglione is second, with 66. Five rounds remain until the end of the season, with the last one having special scoring. In the Junior Cup, Camilo Trappa is at the top, with 92 points, followed by Joaquín Cafaro, with 77. In Córdoba, the Uruguayan will make his debut with a Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
The schedule starts on Friday, August 21, with free practice sessions. Qualifying will be on Saturday and the two races are scheduled for Sunday. In Brazil, the broadcast will be available on YouTube Gazeta Esportiva, YouTube TV Gazeta, Racer TV, Terra, BandSports, BandPlay app, Band.com.br, and YouTube Esporte na Band.
