Jak Crawford was the fastest driver in the only free practice session for the final round of the 2025 Formula 2 season. In the session held early this Friday (5) at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, the DAMS driver recorded a time of 1min39s545 on his best lap, remaining unbeaten by his rivals.

Second place went to Gabriele Mini, the Prema driver who was 0s085 slower than Crawford. Arvid Lindblad, the Campos Racing driver who was confirmed by Racing Bulls in Formula 1 this week, was third, followed by Joshua Durksen, fourth with AIX Racing. Oliver Goethe, from MP Motorsport, completed the top five.
Victor Martins, from ART Grand Prix, set the sixth fastest time, finishing just ahead of Leonardo Fornaroli, the F2 season champion and seventh with Invicta. Alexander Dunne from Rodin, Ritomo Miyata from ART Grand Prix, and Sebastian Montoya from Prema rounded out the top ten in the only free practice session of the weekend in the United Arab Emirates.

Qualifying will take place starting at 8:00 AM to determine the starting positions for the two races of the final round of the season. The Sprint is scheduled for 9:15 AM on Saturday, while the main race takes place on Sunday at 6:15 AM.
