Stefano Domenicali is convinced that the new Formula 1 regulations are the best path for the category. The boss and CEO once again defended the package of changes despite the criticisms made by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

For this year, the competition faces one of the biggest shifts in its history with smaller and lighter chassis, revised aerodynamics, sustainable fuel, and especially an engine that splits power between electric and internal combustion.
The new set of changes did not please everyone, with the Red Bull four-time champion and the Ferrari seven-time champion making their dissatisfaction clear.
But the Italian executive reiterated that the rhetoric is not right and that it is not the right time to take a stand against it.

“I think it’s wrong, in general terms, to speak negatively about an incredible world that allows us to grow. That’s the only thing I would say is wrong,” he told Sky Sports.
“But, you know, I always listen. Prudence, there is an evolution, an evolution in driving, which means that the best driver will be able to be the fastest,” he concluded.
