Gunther Steiner believes that Marc Márquez is more similar to Lewis Hamilton when comparing the Spanish Ducati rider to Formula 1 drivers.

After having served as Haas team principal, the executive is now CEO and owner of Tech3 in MotoGP. Therefore, already accumulating experience on two and four wheels, he was asked who the multi-champion Spaniard most resembles.
“It’s difficult, because I’ve never been asked that question. He reminds me a bit of Hamilton, as he is very good at going fast when necessary, but also at managing his image,” he told Motosprint.

“He doesn’t manage it like Lewis, as he is unique, but he is good and, obviously, has achieved many victories,” he added.
At the moment, Márquez is simulating what Max Verstappen did in the 2025 Formula 1 season: recovering a deficit of more than 100 points in the standings in pursuit of another title – after the Italian GP, he is 102 behind the leader Marco Bezzecchi.
