For the fourth consecutive year, the Porsche Cup hosted the FIA Girls on Track Motorsport Internship during its opening round last weekend at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo. Seven engineering students, two communication students, and one mechanics student participated in the first internship of 2026.

The selected participants actively took part in the entire engineering process, following every detail with each car’s team, while the communication intern covered the entire internship for the CFA (National Women’s Motorsport Commission) Instagram profile.
“I want to thank the Porsche Cup for always being open. Carrying out a project like this at the season opener. I was particularly impressed with the girls’ determination and the possibility of them continuing their careers starting with the Porsche Cup,” highlighted Bia Figueiredo, president of the Women’s Motorsport Commission – created by Giovanni Guerra, president of the CBA, in 2023 – and Brazil’s representative at FIA Girls on Track since 2021.
Rachel Loh, a member of the CFA (National Women’s Motorsport Commission) of the CBA (Brazilian Automobile Confederation) and internship coordinator, does not hide her excitement about the first edition of the internship. “I just want to thank the Porsche Cup once again for their support, because for the girls to learn, I think it’s the best, as it’s a school category with a massive training structure; this year they are even investing in a training platform with many internship and trainee positions. It’s a blessed year, where we have women driving in all categories: Trophy, Challenge, and Carrera.
Interned at Porsche Cup Brazil
Daniela Mello de Lima, mechanics internship, 25 years old, from Mato Grosso, living in São Paulo (SP), studies automotive mechanics. “I have already participated in other projects; 2023 was the first time I participated, and I discovered the internship through a women’s group that posted the registration link. The project is of great importance because it shows girls who are interested that they have a place, they have space, and that now we are having many more doors opened.”
Carolina Barbosa Lima, communication internship: USP student, born in São Paulo (SP). “My experience was super positive! I learned a lot about what daily life is like here, what the backstage is like, and what it’s like to follow a very tight schedule, as we only had four days and had all the project coverage videos. So, it was something very positive indeed, which certainly made me put a lot of knowledge into practice and gave me much more learning regarding contact with interviewees. How to approach and manage to go after opportunities, put shyness aside, and understand that all of this is part of my field. Through the CFA social media, I saw that registrations were open! I rushed to sign up and send my resume all nice and tidy. I want to thank the CBA, CFA, Porsche Cup, and Porto very much for giving us this opportunity to experience our fields in practice within motorsport.”

Micaele de Souza Lincoln, engineering and mechanics internship: automation control engineering student at the Federal Institute of São Paulo, born in Jandira (SP). “I discovered the opportunity through Rachel’s Instagram, where she posted about the internship, and I signed up immediately. My experience was incredible! In these last few days, I learned a lot because I spent all the time accompanying the engineer, seeing all the details, taking data from the car for analysis after the race, and then passing all the information to the driver with the engineer showing everything that needs to be done. I’m thinking a lot about pursuing telemetry or data analysis. It’s a massive opportunity.”
About CFA and FIA Girls on Track Brazil – With the goal of increasing the presence of women in motorsport, on the tracks and in all motorsport roles, the National Women’s Motorsport Commission (CFA) of the CBA develops actions in various areas and formats under the FIA Girls on Track Brazil seal.
This season, the technical and communication modules of the online class and lecture series Immersion for Women in Motorsport have already been held, along with the first Motorsport Internship, which has a schedule for two more internships: in Copa Truck and Endurance Brazil.
