Lawrence Stroll made his first comments on the major update package presented by Aston Martin during the Formula 1 Hungarian GP weekend.

“Obviously, we took a big step forward. One of many to come. So, yes, I am very pleased. I thank everyone at the factory for all the hard work to make this possible,” he told Martin Brundle during the grid for Sky Sports F1.


At the Hungaroring round, Fernando Alonso was the one who benefited most from the updates, managing to reach Q2 for the first time in 2026. In the race, after starting 16th, he finished 14th, while Lance Stroll received the checkered flag in 13th.

Also, after both drivers crossed the finish line in Budapest, the team principal stated that the improvements were “a good start.”
