Cadillac will start from the last two grid positions in the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. And after qualifying held this Saturday (25), Valtteri Bottas spoke of a calm session, while Sergio Pérez highlighted the difficulties encountered.

The Finn will start from 21st position at the Hungaroring and even being at the back of the pack, he managed to list positive points and highlighted Aston Martin’s evolution. “It was a calm qualifying for us, with clean laps,” he said.
“We found a good setup and I felt good in the car. Aston Martin took a step forward with the car, at least in single-lap pace, but the positive point is that we are very close to Williams. We need to focus on ourselves as we continue to evolve and extract the maximum from our package. The race will be a test for us, as higher temperatures are forecast. We’ll see how things unfold tomorrow,” he continued.

Checo, on the other hand, had a completely different feeling from his teammate, speaking of problems and that he didn’t have a car working as he expected in Hungary. “It was a challenging session after missing most of FP3, and everything was rushed before qualifying,” he explained.
“The car didn’t behave as expected, especially in the high-speed sections, so we need to understand what was affecting us today. We know the car has more potential, and the focus now is to achieve a better position for tomorrow,” he concluded.
