Racing Bulls ended Saturday’s (25) Hungarian GP Formula 1 qualifying with quite opposite feelings. While Arvid Lindblad was quite satisfied, Liam Lawson lamented the final result.

The British rookie of the season once again managed to advance to the final phase at the Hungaroring and will start from ninth position, celebrating the good performance and thanking the team’s work.
“I think today was very positive. We took a good step forward from yesterday, despite missing most of the third free practice session this morning. That put me at a disadvantage, but we managed to get the car in good condition. A huge thank you to the mechanics for getting the car ready in time for me to do those two laps before qualifying; they were very valuable in helping me get back up to speed,” he said.
“Credit also to the engineers for giving me confidence in the car at the most important moment. It was a real team effort. It’s a very enjoyable circuit to drive, and we’ve put ourselves in a strong position for tomorrow. We know that Audi will be fast throughout the race, but we did the work today to ensure we start ahead, and now the focus is on turning that into a good result,” he added.

The New Zealander just missed out on Q3, but had to settle for 11th place in Hungary and stated that he was not happy with the work he did during his fast lap in Q2. “I’m disappointed with my execution in Q2,” he pointed out.
“We did very well in Q1; however, I locked up the wheels on the first lap and couldn’t get a strong second lap. It’s a shame, as the car has been behaving very well. Our race paces were fast, so we should have a quick car for tomorrow’s race. Points are definitely within our reach, so everything is open,” he concluded.
