Confident for the decision, Raphael Reis highlighted his good track record at the circuit and the balance of the dispute. “I am very confident for the weekend, Velocitta is a track I like and have already won on, so I have good memories of this place. The championship is very tight, I am only three points ahead, so it will be a weekend to think about all the details because anything can make a difference in the title fight. Anyway, I and the whole team are focused and motivated to perform well and perhaps leave Velocitta with the title,” he stated.
A pioneer of the category in South America, Raphael Reis achieved the first pole in TCR South America history in 2021, participated in all continental championship races, and represented Brazil twice at the FIA Motorsport Games. In the most recent edition, in Valencia, he secured the silver medal, the only Brazilian podium in the event’s history.

Since the beginning of the category, the driver has competed with the Cupra Leon VZ #77 prepared by W2 Pro GP and is now trying to transform the championship lead into another title for his career.
The event schedule begins on Friday with shakedown and two free practice sessions. On Saturday, qualifying and the first race will be held, while the race that will define the champion takes place on Sunday afternoon. The races will be broadcast on the official TCR Brasil and TCR South America YouTube channels.
