Winner of the main race of the Belgian Formula 2 round, Rafael Câmara is already facing a new challenge this weekend. The Formula 1 feeder series arrives at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary for the ninth double-header of the year, and the Invicta Racing driver aims to get even closer to the top of the standings.

The highest scorer at the Spa-Francorchamps round, where he won, started from pole, and set the fastest lap, in addition to securing sixth position in the Sprint, Câmara reached 125 points, 36 behind the championship leader. The Brazilian highlights the title fight and also that the approach to the weekend in Hungary and the rest of the season will be similar to the other double-headers.
“Of course, it’s always good to be in contention. But, at the end of the day, the approach is always very similar. You end up focusing on yourself. There’s still a long way to go, and so I want to make sure we make the most of what we can control. I hope that way, in the end, we can be in the fight for the title,” said Rafael Câmara.

The Brazilian is having one of the strongest campaigns in the Formula 2 season, with two victories, four podiums, six top-five finishes, and points in all rounds of the year. More than that, Câmara is the record holder for pole positions this year, with four starts from the pole position, achieved in the last five double-headers.
The Formula 2 schedule in Hungary will begin on Friday, with the single free practice session of the weekend and qualifying, which will determine the starting positions. Saturday will feature the Sprint at 9:15 AM, while the main race is scheduled for 6:25 AM on Sunday. Sportv, Globoplay, and F1TV will broadcast all activities.
