Max Verstappen does not intend to turn his motorsport project into a team directly focused on developing drivers in the junior categories, although he acknowledges that such initiatives can be important given the rising costs for young drivers. Verstappen’s opinion contrasts with Lando Norris’s move, who announced last Wednesday (2) the creation of LN4 Fusion, which will operate in different junior categories and has the declared goal of building a path to Formula 1.

Asked about the possibility of taking his own organization to championships like F4, F3, or F2, Verstappen dismissed this strategy: “No, actually not, not on my part. I enjoy the endurance part and combining endurance with formula cars is very hectic. I prefer to be on the other side, working with already established drivers, but also with young ones who are discovering that this is a crazy world,” Verstappen explained to GPBlog.
Although he does not want to replicate Norris’s model, the Red Bull driver considers it important to offer support to those trying to reach professional motorsport. According to him, his structure already works with competitors at different levels of the development categories: “Anyway, we are training many drivers from F2, F3, F4, FRECA. So I am very happy with what I am doing,” he adds.

The financial factor is precisely one of the points that bring Verstappen’s vision closer to Norris’s initiative. The Dutchman states that rising costs make the path difficult for young drivers and sees room for projects capable of reducing this obstacle: “It is tough at the moment, costs are rising, so the more you can help them, the better. Some real talents don’t have much money, so being able to create this kind of initiative is great.”
Verstappen founded Verstappen.com Racing in 2022, an organization that later became Verstappen Racing, and expanded its activities in the following years. One of the main features of the project is to bring virtual racing closer to real motorsport.
