The NASCAR Brasil Series held the first free practice session for the weekend of the third stage of the 2026 season at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo on Friday afternoon (29). Felipe Tozzo, from the Challenge class, led the session, which ended with a red flag, with a time of 1min49s462.

Tozzo was followed by two more teammates from the class: Gustavo Bandeira, who was second best with 1min49s639; and Gui Backes, who managed to be 0.221 seconds behind. Jorge Martelli, already in the main class, achieved 1min50s337 and finished in fourth place. Ricardo Zonta was fifth with 1min50s349.
Rookie Murilo Rocha secured the sixth best time: 1min50s965. Next was Witold Ramasauskas, who recorded 1min51s153. Alfredinho Ibiapina took eighth place with 1min51s233, while Thiago Camilo recorded 1min51s501 and secured ninth place. Galid Osman closed the top 10 with 1min51s548.

NASCAR Brasil will hold the second free practice session on Saturday morning. The qualifying, which includes a sprint race, starts at 2:35 PM.
