The German raced in F1 between the 1997 and 2007 seasons, passing through teams like Jordan, Williams, and Toyota. Over the years, he achieved six wins and stood on the podium 27 times.
However, despite the relative success, Schumacher revealed an unpleasant side of being a Formula 1 driver. “I think no one was really prepared for what happened. Leaving the comfort zone affects us,” he told the newspaper Abendzeitung München.

“You lose all privacy. It doesn’t matter where you are, it doesn’t matter what you do, you feel watched – and, above all, judged. That is unpleasant. In my case, of course, it was a bit more difficult because I had a brother who was extremely successful,” he said.
“No, on the contrary: I always wanted to have my peace and quiet. You can’t tell someone: ‘Please, I don’t want this today. I’m sitting here in the restaurant with my friends.’ Then the person thinks: ‘Is he so arrogant that he can’t even get up and take a picture?’,” he concluded.
