NASCAR Brazil: Casagrande is the fastest in FP2 at Santa Cruz do Sul

NASCAR Brasil held its second and final free practice of the first stage of the 2026 season this Saturday morning (11), in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS). Gabriel Casagrande was the leader of the session. The Vogel driver clocked 1min28s659  on his best lap of the Gaúcho track.

Cavaleiro Sports dominated the top-3 with Arthur Gama in second and Ricardo Zonta in third. They recorded 1min28s680 and 1min29s028, respectively. The fourth fastest time was by Gui Backes, from Vogel, with 1min29s051. The difference between Vitor Genz (Full Time), who led FP1 on Friday, and Backes was only 0s046.

Galid Osman (Cavaleiro) had the sixth fastest lap, 1min29s107. Right after came Alfredinho Ibiapina (Full Time), with 1min29s119, followed by teammate Thiago Camilo, who clocked 1min29s363. Allam Khodair again secured a top-10 in his debut with Vogel by completing his best lap in 1min29s405. Denis Navarro (Cavaleiro) closed the top-10 with 1min29s405, a result that shows the balance presented by the category’s new car, the RiSE26.
