Three-time Special Edition champion in NASCAR Brazil, Gabriel Casagrande was one of the highlights this Saturday (30) in the third stage of the 2026 season, held at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo (SP). The AMattheis Vogel driver advanced to the Sprint Race this afternoon and finished the weekend’s short race in third place.

The Paraná native highlighted the challenges of racing with a 30-kilogram ballast in his car, precisely because of leading the points table. Casagrande emphasized the good performance of the AMattheis Vogel car and projects a Sunday to fight for many points in the two races, always aiming to reach the end of the season fighting for the title.
“I am satisfied with today. It was a tough race, quite complicated. We really suffer a lot because of the extra weight. In a light setup of 1,070 kg and 300 hp, adding 30 kg is a lot, so we are suffering quite a bit, but when that happens it means we are in the lead,” said Gabriel Casagrande, who is sponsored by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, OnPetro, STP, Cresol, RP Info, UFI Filters, Chevrolet, and OMP.

“The car has a very good balance that allowed me to pass the qualifying phase and reach the Sprint Race. Then, a start that was very good, I took Vitor Andrade’s position and there wasn’t much to do. Third place was very good. Good points for what we are aiming for, which is the championship, and I think I have a good car to score very well in both races here,” Casagrande added.
After the Sprint Race, NASCAR Brazil will hold its two races of the third stage this Sunday. The first is scheduled for 9 a.m., with broadcast on SBT and YouTube. The race that closes the São Paulo round starts at 2 p.m., with coverage on RedeTV! and YouTube.
