After the 2025 British GP, the executive was dismissed with immediate effect from Red Bull. Laurent Mekies took over the role and since then, Horner has been linked to numerous teams, but no deal has been closed for his return to the category.
Thinking about this, Montoya indicated how Christian is a good name to take charge of any Formula 1 team, especially for all the titles and victories accumulated.

“People underestimate what Christian has done, how long he has been doing it, and what he has achieved. You can like him, you can hate him, but he can deliver results,” he said.
Throughout his 21 years in charge of Red Bull, he won eight Drivers’ titles and six Constructors’ World Championships, with periods of dominance with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen and accumulating 124 victories.
