The beginning of the year was marked by a long hiatus between races. After the Japanese GP, held on March 29, Formula 1 only returned to the tracks at the Miami GP, held on May 3, in the United States. The break happened after the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia stages due to the war in the Middle East.
Now, after the season resumed in Miami, the category enters another short break before the next calendar commitment.
The next race will be the 2026 Canadian GP, scheduled for May 24, at the traditional Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal. The Canadian stage is known for its unpredictable races, with a high chance of safety car, varied strategies, and intense battles throughout the weekend.

The circuit mixes long straights and low-speed chicanes, requiring strong braking ability and aerodynamic efficiency. In addition, the famous “Wall of Champions” remains one of the most emblematic and challenging points of Formula 1.
With that, fans will have another weekend without track activities before the category returns for the Canadian GP on May 24, which will continue the 2026 season.
