Christian Horner is, definitively, free from Red Bull. After his dismissal in the 2025 Formula 1 season, since last Thursday (9), the executive can now return to work in the category.

Since leaving the Austrian team after last year’s British GP, the Briton was on gardening leave, the period where he must stay away from any rival on the grid for a certain amount of time. The measure is quite common, as teams fear their secrets will be revealed.
In his contract agreement, Horner negotiated that he could return to work in Formula 1 after nine months. The day, therefore, was April 9, last Thursday.

However, even though he is released, this does not mean that Christian will return immediately to the paddock. Despite being linked to several teams on the grid, the executive has not yet found a new job – the most recent was the interest in becoming a minority shareholder of Alpine.
According to information from GPblog, Horner is not expected to return to Formula 1 before the summer break. The earliest is around September, but options are still quite limited.
