Lewis Hamilton was remembered during the acceptance speech for the Oscar for Best Sound for F1 – The Movie. Juan Peralta, one of the members of the production’s sound team, made a point of mentioning the seven-time champion and Formula 1.

Last Sunday (15), the 98th edition of the Oscars took place, Hollywood’s biggest awards night. At the ceremony, the film featuring Brad Pitt in the cast and set during the category’s race weekends was nominated in four categories: Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Original Song, and Best Picture.
At the end of the night, it took home the statuette for Best Sound and during the acceptance speech, one of the members, Juan Peralta, a sound engineer, thanked the Ferrari driver, who served as an advisor and executive producer, in his speech.

“Thank you to the Academy. I want to thank Joe Kosinski [director], you are a genius. Jerry Bruckheimer [producer], Brad Pitt, Plan B [Entertainment], Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 and everyone at Apple for supporting such a fun cinematic experience,” he said on stage.
