Rafael Câmara secured pole position this Friday (5) for the fourth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season. In qualifying held this morning on the street circuit in Monte Carlo, Monaco, the Invicta Racing driver clocked 1min20s923, after seeing the team adjust his car following a touch with the wall, led the first group and was not surpassed in the second, taking the position of honor for Sunday’s race.

Second position on the grid went to Nikola Tsolov, the Campos Racing driver who recorded 1min21s053, being the fastest in the second group of drivers. From then on, due to specific regulations for this stage, positions are alternated with drivers from the faster group taking odd grid spots, and the rest starting from even positions.
Alexander Dunne, with a Rodin Motorsport car, will start from third position, while Martinius Stenshorne, his teammate, starts in fourth. The top five on the grid for the main race will also include Gabriele Mini, championship leader and driver for the MP Motorsport team.
Kush Mini, from ART Grand Prix, will start in sixth, while Noel León, with a Campos Racing car, starts in seventh, opening a fourth row that will also feature Roman Bilinski, eighth on the grid with a DAMS car. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, from ART Grand Prix, starts in ninth, while Joshua Durksen, from Invicta, closes the top-10 and starts at the front in the Sprint. Emmo Fittipaldi will start 20th with AIX Racing.

The session featured interruptions. John Bennett, with a Trident car, hit the barrier with just under four minutes remaining in the first group. Earlier, Rafael Câmara had hit the wall and headed to the pits for repairs to the Invicta car, without causing a red flag.
In the second group, Laurens van Hoepen stopped at the chicane after the tunnel after being touched by Kush Maini, causing another red flag. The Dutchman was out of the activity, while the Indian was able to return to the track and continue.
The Formula 2 schedule will feature the Sprint race this Saturday (5), starting at 9:15 AM. The main race will be held on Sunday, at 4:25 AM.
