Since Zandvoort returned to the calendar in 2021, Max Verstappen has won three times, while Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri won the other two. Now, in 2026, it is the last chance for the German team to get on the top step of the podium, as it will be the last edition in the category.
“Zandvoort has been a unique challenge since its return. It is a difficult track to master, the fans create an incredible atmosphere, and it has become a race that teams and drivers look forward to. We have come close, but never won there in the modern era. This is our last chance to change that, and it is a challenge we would like to overcome,” he said.

Still, aware of the threat from rivals and the growth in recent stages, Wolff said that “we have left points on the way. Our rivals have reduced the performance gap, and we know that the second half of the year will demand more from us than the first.”
“Championships will be decided by execution and the development pace we manage to apply to the car over the next 12 races. Although we are somewhat behind rivals regarding updates, we have more performance to extract and a clear development plan for that,” he concluded.
