Max Verstappen is determined to take Red Bull back to the top of Formula 1 after renewing and extending his contract with the Austrian team.

On the eve of his home race at the Dutch GP, the team and driver announced they will stay together until 2030, a fact that left the four-time world champion satisfied. “I am very happy with the contract renewal. We have the best professionals and I am excited to continue working with everyone to get back to the top again.”
“This remains the main goal that we have all been working towards and will continue to fight for. I want to thank Red Bull, Laurent [Mekies], and everyone on the team for the trust placed in me. I have always said this: the team is like a second family to me and I feel very much at home. I joined the team hoping to win races,” he continued.
“What we have achieved together has been simply wonderful; we have shared many incredible moments and won four world championships. Continuing this journey with the same team that has supported me throughout my career is something very special and that I have always wanted to do,” he continued.

The four-time Formula 1 world champion also took the opportunity to praise Mekies. “Working with Laurent for over a year has been great; I see a clear vision that he has for the team. Everyone in Milton Keynes believes in what we are building, and I am looking forward to the next chapter: fighting for more wins and competing for championships while continuing to shape the future of this team.”
“Making this announcement during the last Grand Prix in Zandvoort is also a very special moment for me. I hope we can give the fans a memorable farewell at the final race,” he concluded.
