Verstappen finished TL1 in third place, recording 1min14s491 after completing 26 laps. In TL2, he maintained third position by clocking 1m13s194. According to the driver, the main achievement of the day was the confidence transmitted by the RB22 on one of the most challenging circuits on the Formula 1 calendar:

“It was a pretty positive day, to be honest. We felt very good in the car and it’s especially important, especially in Monaco, to have a good feeling with the car. We just need to work on adjusting a few details. Ferrari is very strong, so we will try to get as close to them as possible tomorrow.”
